- Goes to Rosewood High School. Can easily spy on the girls there.
- He has a tendency to creepily eye the girls.
- Crossed off the “C” on his paper and changed it to “A” — was that BIG CLUE that will only make sense in retrospect from episode 12…?
- Was jealous of Aria and Ezra’s relationship.
- According to the producers, A has a large sum of money. Whether or not it is solely from stealing Ashley Marin’s stash is unknown. Noel comes from a wealthy family. He could easily pay off the bead lady, Dr. Sullivan, Melissa’s ring from the pawn shop guy, etc…and you need money for HGH and surveillance equipment.
- ^ Speaking of surveillance equipment, we’re going to find out that there are more members of the N.A.T. club than we think. Noel could have been one of them.
- Was at his own party, Hanna’s party, and homecoming.
- Was most likely at Ali’s funeral…everyone else in the town was.
- Was at Ali’s memorial sitting right behind Spencer, and she was the one who recieved “A’s” text about how they’ll be there watching “just like Tom Sawyer.”
- May have been at the dance-a-thon?
- Was in the library on the day of the SATs when the girls got the “A” texts.
- The pictures of Emily and Maya kissing were stolen at Noel’s party.
- Knows where Hanna lives; could have given Hanna’s address to the the exterminator.
- He’s friends with Sean and Mike; could get information about Hanna, and Aria from them.
- In episode 10, Noel is with Aria at her locker when the poetry composition book falls out of her locker. He very non-chalantly says “A wants you to read page 22,” opens the book, and says, “It’s a poem by Ezra Fitz. B-26. It’s a song, it’s a number, it’s a girl.” The tone of his voice sounds almost amused, making it seems like he already knew about Aria and Ezra.
- Told Mike about Ezra’s student-teacher relationship and that he was going to the principal. He probably did so knowing that Mike would tell Aria, and it would be a warning.
- Admitted to writing the “I see you” message on Ezra’s car.
- “A” was wearing a plain black hoodie when they ditched the car that they hit Hanna with. Hanna saw Noel write the message on Ezra’s car. He may have seen her, too, and that’s why “she knew too much.”
- Was in the crowd of people at Camp Mona when Hanna was being put into the ambulance, wearing a plain black hoodie.
- Lied to Aria about being in the woods that night, even though he looked right at her when he was in the crowd. He kept a straight face while telling her that, proof that he’s a good stealth.
- Lied to Aria about blackmailing Ezra, then placed the blame on him and tried to manipulate the situation.
- ^ “A lies a lot” according to Marlene King. So does Noel…
- When Aria asks him if he has an old grudge against her and the rest of the girls, he walks away and doesn’t answer.
- Could have a grudge against the girls or at least Ali because of the flashback where she broke him and his girlfriend up.
- At Hanna’s party, he opened the cabinet where the lasagna box was hidden. He took out plastic cups from one of the top shelves, so he may have seen the money and stolen it later. Perhaps when everyone was distracted by drunk Lucas?
- Later on, he went upstairs to the bathroom. Hanna’s medicine bottles were probably in there, so he could have placed the “A” note with some of the $ in one of them.
- Was outside of Lucky Leon’s watching Hanna eat the cupcakes.
- At the dance-a-thon, Ella greeted A as though she recognized them but didn’t know them very well, and Noel fits that description.
- The bead lady told A that they have “interesting” eyes. Noel certainly has interesting, attractive eyes.
- He could have put the test answers in his own locker to make himself look less suspicious, even if it meant he would get in trouble. “A is for Alison, not amateur” after all. This would also be a good way for the writers to take the suspicion off Noel, making it look like someone else is A.
- Was in the crowd outside of the church during the season finale, looking suspicious and slightly flustered. He was wearing a black jacket, not a black hoodie, but could have easily changed.
- Strong enough to push Ian off the bell tower.
- He’s dating Mona. Mona likes to gossip. That could be an easy way for him to get info on the girls, or at least Hanna.
- Was the DJ for the fashion show and Ali’s dedication. When Jason confronted him about the ending, he didn’t deny anything.
- He’s an athlete. Maybe he takes HGH himself for sports enhancement and was able to put some in Emily’s pain cream.
- He visited Hanna in the hospital when she was hit by the car, so it’s likely that he visited Emily when she had an ulcer to wish her well.
- When Dr. Sullivan visited Rosewood High School to give the speech on bullying, Noel is zoomed in on.
- Dr. Sullivan’s patient file for A said their birth year was 1994, which would mean they’re 16 or 17 unless they lied about it. Noel is around that age.
- The waitress at the diner called A “pretty eyes” in a flirty voice. Noel has attractive, pretty eyes.
- Strong enough to attack Emily, throw things through a glass greenhouse roof, and kick in a car window.
- Got himself invited to Hanna’s surprise party for Caleb easily, even though he didn’t receive an invitation.
- Seemed pretty excited to have a party at Spencer’s lake house, almost as though he’s been there before…and that’s where the dolls from 212 were stored.
- Noel and Mona were conveniently ”taking a dip” when the Hanna and Lucas incident went down. I personally think it’s a red herring and they just wanted some alone time, but who knows…
- In one of the sneak peak scripts for 216, Mona tells Hanna that (presumably) Noel was on the phone most of the time at Caleb’s surprise party and she thought it was sketchy.

He has gone to Rosewood High School. A lies a lot according to Marlene King, so saying “I have” doesn’t mean much.
We’ve heard his voice several times.
” Toby. Wait… what do you mean by interested? ” sounds like the kind of joke a guy like Noel would make.
He’s an athlete. Athletes always want to improve their cardio, strength, etc.
He acts like he’s friends with the girls and he used to (or still does) have feelings for Aria. That could be the thin line between love and hate. He may hate the girls because they blinded Jenna, and we know he was friends with Jenna after watching the Halloween prequel.
He’s an attractive, popular guy. I could imagine him jokingly calling himself the “prettiest” liar.
He’s a familiar face.
We’ve learned more about his relationship with Alison (flashbacks, Halloween prequel) and we’ll probably learn even more in 2B.
He may like Paige better because she’s athletic like him and also friends with Sean.
We see him in the background quite often.
- He was on the phone for almost all of Caleb’s surprise party, which upset Mona. She took him skinny dipping to distract him, but he got into an argument with her about it on the way home.
- Broke Mona’s heart without a care sounds like something that would be no big deal for someone like A.
- In episode 217, Mona said about Noel “I never knew anyone that could lie like that. It was second nature with him. It’s those eyes…you look into them and you’re just like…hypnotized.” A’s eyes have been mentioned a few times in previous episodes and Marlene King said that A lies a lot.
